DRY HAY FASTER

Ag Shield's Recon is an innovative hay conditioner that significantly decreases the time it takes for your swaths to dry (30 - 65% faster). The Recon's roller design provides unmatched moisture release with its exclusive crimping frequency and can be outfitted with a Mounted Tedder and Side Deflectors for complete control of swath structure and air flow. FEATURES

EXCLUSIVE CRIMPING ACTION
The Ag Shield Recon features precision timed and lathed steel lug rollers. As hay passes through these high pressure rollers, the stems are crimped at every other inch, allowing moisture to escape quickly and easily. With crimps at every other inch there is less distance for moisture to travel in order to escape the stem. This crimping action dramatically decreases drying time. The Recon's round rollers provide a much stronger crimp than flat rollers. The high pressure crimping also helps the swath stay fluffed which increases air flow. 
SPEED AND HARVEST QUALITY
Recon hay conditioners do not have a traditional pickup. The Recon's rollers act as the pickup. This minimizes the weight of a Recon and allows for high capacity field speeds of up to 10MPH (16 KM/Hr). This also ensures that the Recon does not pickup as much dirt or old hay as traditional rakes or pickups, maximizing the quality of your harvest.
QUICK-SET FOR PEAK PERFORMANCE
The Recon is equipped with a Quick-Set Slider to allow the operator to easily set roller clearance for optimal performance depending on the type of crop and the conditions. Wide clearance is recommended for Sorghum, Milo and Oats; medium clearance for Alfalfa and close clearance for Coastal Bermuda Grass and Timothy. Users can choose a fluff setting for salvaging hay after a rain.
EASILY HANDLE WADS
Recons are equipped with a 115HP clutch that is able to power through wads without plugging or slowing down. If the machine does plug during operation, the rollers can be hydraulically opened from the cab to un-plug the machine within seconds.
RELIABLE WITH MINIMAL MAINTENANCE
The Ag Shield Recon's crushing rollers are driven independently from the rest of the machine by high-strength 80 chain in an enclosed case with synthetic gear oil.

The Recon's steel rollers are maintenance free and will not need replacing. They maintain the correct set clearance from end-to-end. 

A Slip Clutch protects the Recon itself, while an Overrun clutch protects the tractor. 

The Recon offers easy access to clutches and grease points.

With rains coming every third day, we were able to BALE dry alfalfa in 36-60 hours by crushing the stems and tedding 19.5ft windrows back out 15 feet wide in one pass.

COMPLETE SWATH CONTROL
Our optional Side Deflectors are hydraulically controlled from the cab. The deflectors block wind to help maintain uniform swaths. They allow you to adjust your swath width according to your baler. The deflectors also give you the ability to invert and move swaths to dryer ground. 
MAXIMIZE SPREAD
Ag Shield's optional Mounted Tedder allows you to manage your swath spread for optimal drying conditions. The dual rotors spread your swath from 8 - 20' as desired.
